69 | Don’t Be A Stagnant Pond

Today’s episode is all about movement. Surprise! I’m using the concept of stagnant waters to really show you that it teaches us about our own body. As you know, water that has been sitting for awhile can begin to not smell well, and even begin to grow things in it– this is very much like our own body. Over 70% of our body is water, and you can see how that shows stagnancy is something we can have within us as well.

What does stagnant mean?

Lacking from movement; stale. Not growing or changing; without force or vitality.

Why is the lymphatic system important?

Our lymphatic system is the network of tissues and organs that are made up of our lymph vessels, nodes, and fluid. It’s our drainage system for the body, is crucial for fighting infection, and it depends on movement. Without movement, you’ll have a backup of fluids, which can cause so many internal and external issues.

Signs that the lymphatic system isn’t working well:
  • Headaches
  • Brain fog
  • Lack of energy
  • Swollen lymph nodes or tonsils
  • Mucus
  • Drainage
  • Constipation
  • Bloating / heaviness
  • Acne
What to do to help the lymphatic system:

  • Move, move, move!
  • Hydrate well
  • Eat well
  • Less stress
  • Rest
